Welcome to Gellihaf House, a family-owned and run boutique bed & breakfast set in the historic and beautiful Rhymney Valley. Built in the style of the Arts and Crafts Movement on the site of a historic farmhouse, the property retains many of its original features, which have been sympathetically restored in keeping with the era of its design. The expansive and diverse gardens offer a range of options for outdoor relaxation and are available for your enjoyment. Gellihaf House is committed to providing exceptional accommodation, comfort, and service to make your stay both delightful and truly memorable.

BREAKFAST

Your first meal of the day will be cooked with fresh, locally sourced and verified Welsh farm products. We will prepare for you a breakfast of your choice, be that a ‘Full Welsh’ or cereals and toast. Breakfast service is relaxed and informal in our imposing Dining Room and will provide you with the perfect start to your day.

Gellihaf House offers a unique experience, with its enormous Sitting Room complete with comfortable furnishings and open log fire, its sumptuous bedrooms, its grand Dining Room and spacious Gardens teeming with birdlife; it will provide you with a truly unforgettable stay.

Midway up the Rhymney Valley and conveniently located for the short drive to Cardiff, offering shopping expeditions, bars, cafes and restaurants; and a similar distance from the Brecon Beacons National Park with all the splendid outdoor opportunities it can provide. You can of course just kick back and relax at Gellihaf House or explore the local area’s rich historical and industrial past.

Sirhowy

The Sirhowy Room is the largest of the rooms and overlooks the rear garden. It has delightful view of the rolling Rhymney Valley and is perfectly positioned to catch the summer sunsets.

Charming front garden views.

The Taff Room boasts wonderful front garden views and is tastefully finished in Cotswold Collection Iliv fabrics.

Rhymney

Original Arts & Crafts Fireplace & Front Garden Views

The Rhymney Room offers front garden views where you can watch the varied bird life in the branches of the flowering cherry tree. The room has a blue theme based on the tile design in the original fireplace.
